Cookie Notice

Version 1.5 Last updated: 17 October 2026

This notice explains which cookies Speudio (speudio.com) places on your device, why we use them, and why you will not see a cookie consent pop-up on our site. Speudio is operated by SK Creations, a sole proprietorship (enskild firma) registered in Sweden.

This notice is provided in English, Swedish, and Greek. The English version is the authoritative version; the Swedish and Greek translations are provided for convenience, and in the event of any discrepancy the English version prevails. This notice is governed by Swedish law, and any disputes relating to it are subject to the jurisdiction of the Swedish courts.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) so it can remember something about you between page loads or visits — for example, that you are signed in, or which language you prefer. Related technologies, such as browser storage, work in a similar way. We use cookies only for the strictly-necessary purposes described below, and we never use cookies or any similar technology to track you, analyse your behaviour, or show you advertising.

Inside the app we also keep some settings in your browser's own storage, for example which view you chose. They are used only so the app works the way you left it, and never to track you.

2. The cookies we use

Speudio sets only the following first-party cookies. There are no third-party cookies on our site — nothing from analytics, advertising, or social-media providers.

CookiePurposeTypeDuration
authjs.session-token¹Keeps you signed in. Holds your encrypted session so you do not have to enter your password on every page. It is httpOnly, meaning scripts running in the page cannot read it — a protection against session theft.Strictly necessary (authentication)Up to 30 days, or until you sign out
NEXT_LOCALERemembers your language. Stores your interface language choice (English, Swedish, or Greek) so the app loads in your language every time.Strictly necessary (user preference you set)1 year
speudio_ask_dockRemembers your AI-assistant panel layout. Stores whether you chose to keep the AI chat panel open or collapsed, so the page loads with the layout you picked instead of resetting it on every visit. It contains only the word open or collapsed — nothing about you.Strictly necessary (user-interface preference you set)1 year
speudio_sidebarRemembers whether the sidebar is collapsed. Contains only the word collapsed or expanded.Strictly necessary (user-interface preference you set)1 year
speudio_sidebar_wRemembers how wide you dragged the sidebar. Contains only a number of pixels.Strictly necessary (user-interface preference you set)1 year
speudio_ask_dock_wRemembers how wide you dragged the AI-assistant panel. Contains only a number of pixels.Strictly necessary (user-interface preference you set)1 year
speudio_calendar_viewRemembers your calendar view. Stores whether you last used the month, week, or day view.Strictly necessary (user-interface preference you set)1 year
speudio_contacts_viewRemembers how you set up the Contacts page. Stores the sort order, the layout, whether the filters bar is open, which sections you collapsed or reordered, whether you chose to show all contacts in the pinned groups, and the filters you picked (for example a contact type or one of your tags). It never stores what you type in the search box. When everything is back to the default, the cookie is removed.Strictly necessary (user-interface preference you set)1 year
speudio_uiRemembers the layout you chose inside the app. Stores the text size you picked for the conversation and for the Mnemo and Iris chats; which tab (Info, Files or Mnemo) the side panel on a contact's page shows; how wide you dragged the split between the contact details and the conversation (and the same split on the support page); that you closed the phone tip "press and hold a contact"; after you press "Later" on the "Save your recovery codes" reminder, the moment its 7-day pause ends, so the reminder stays away until then; in which conversations you chose to hide forwarded copies (up to 10 conversations, each stored as the internal code of that contact, never a name or an address); and whether you hid the strip of message marks at the left edge of the conversation. It never stores anything you typed, no names and no message content. It exists so a page opens with your own layout straight away instead of jumping into place after it loads. When everything is back to the default, or when you sign out, the cookie is removed.Strictly necessary (user-interface preference you set)1 year
speudio_gmail_oauth_stateProtects the Gmail connection flow. A short-lived, httpOnly security token set only while you connect a Gmail account, used to verify that the response from Google belongs to the connection you started (CSRF protection). It is deleted automatically.Strictly necessary (security)10 minutes
speudio_gmail_oauth_nameCarries the name you gave the mailbox. Set only while you connect a Gmail account, and only if you typed a name for it, so the name survives the trip to Google and back. httpOnly.Strictly necessary (completing the action you started)10 minutes
speudio_outlook_oauth_stateProtects the Microsoft connection flow. The same short-lived, httpOnly security token as above, set only while you connect an Outlook, Hotmail, or Microsoft 365 account.Strictly necessary (security)10 minutes
speudio_outlook_oauth_nameCarries the name you gave the mailbox. The Microsoft equivalent of speudio_gmail_oauth_name. httpOnly.Strictly necessary (completing the action you started)10 minutes
speudio_calendar_oauth_stateProtects the Google Calendar connection flow. The same short-lived, httpOnly security token, set only while you connect Google Calendar.Strictly necessary (security)10 minutes

¹ On secure (HTTPS) connections the browser-enforced name is __Secure-authjs.session-token. Signing in also involves the short-lived cookies that our authentication library (Auth.js) sets to protect the sign-in form itself against cross-site request forgery and to remember where to send you afterwards. They are strictly necessary, contain no information about you beyond a random token and a destination path, and expire with the sign-in attempt.

That is the complete list of cookies Speudio sets. We never sell or share the information in these cookies with anyone.

3. Why there is no consent pop-up

EU and Swedish law require consent for cookies except those that are strictly necessary to provide a service the user has explicitly requested. This exemption comes from Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), implemented in Sweden in Chapter 9, Section 28 of the Electronic Communications Act (lagen [2022:482] om elektronisk kommunikation).

Every cookie we use falls within that exemption: you cannot stay signed in, keep the language and layout preferences you chose, or securely connect a mailbox or calendar without them. Because we use no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of any kind, there is nothing for you to consent to — so we do not interrupt you with a consent banner. An informational notice (this page) is all the law requires, and all you should ever need from us.

4. How to control cookies in your browser

You can view, block, or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings — usually under "Privacy", "Cookies", or "Site data" (this includes blocking cookies for speudio.com specifically, or clearing the ones already stored). Consult your browser's help pages for exact steps in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.

Please be aware of the consequences: because all of our cookies are strictly necessary, blocking or deleting them will sign you out of Speudio, and the app will not be able to keep you signed in afterwards. Deleting the preference cookies resets the interface to the default language and the default layout, and blocking cookies while you connect a mailbox or calendar will cause that connection attempt to fail for your own protection.

5. Our promise

If we ever introduce a cookie that is not strictly necessary — for example an analytics cookie — we will ask for your consent first, before it is set, and we will update this notice with a new version number and date so the change is visible. We will never quietly add tracking.

6. Changes and contact

We may update this notice when our use of cookies changes or when the law requires it. The version number and "Last updated" date at the top always reflect the current revision; material changes will be communicated within the app.

In version 1.2 (25 September 2026) we added speudio_contacts_view to the list in Section 2. It remembers how you set up the Contacts page, so the page opens the way you left it. It is a preference cookie like the others, and no tracking cookie was added. We also added a sentence to Section 1 about the settings the app keeps in your browser's own storage.

In version 1.3 (14 October 2026) we added speudio_ui to the list in Section 2. It remembers the layout you chose inside the app (the text size, which tab the side panel shows, how wide you dragged the split, that you closed the phone tip, when the paused recovery codes reminder comes back, and in which conversations you hid forwarded copies), so a page opens the way you left it instead of jumping into place after it loads. It is a preference cookie like the others, and no tracking cookie was added.

In version 1.4 (15 October 2026) we added one item to what speudio_ui remembers: whether you hid the strip of message marks at the left edge of a conversation, so it stays hidden or shown the way you left it. No new cookie and no tracking cookie was added.

In version 1.5 (17 October 2026) we added speudio_ask_dock_w to the list in Section 2. It remembers how wide you dragged the AI-assistant panel, so the panel opens at the width you left it. It holds only a number of pixels, and no tracking cookie was added.

If you believe our use of cookies, or our handling of your personal data more generally, does not comply with the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish supervisory authority, IMY (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, imy.se), or with your local EU supervisory authority.
